NCLI National Centre for
Leadership and Innovation

NCLI will develop a programme to teach positive leadership and innovation to children in upper primary and lower second-level schools. This programme will consist of age-appropriate modules to equip children with the analytical skills to discern true leadership from populism and the culture of celebrity.

 

It will culminate annually in a national awards scheme for leadership and innovation where participating children will nominate their most admired leader and their reasons for their choice. An independent judging panel will then determine a shortlist and interviews will be carried out to determine the overall ‘Leader of the Year’ at an annual awards ceremony. Awards can also be distributed for educational contribution, courageous educational leadership, innovative leadership, aspiring leaders, sporting and business leader, artistic and political leader, etc.
